The Upanishads

According to the upanishads, “In this spiritual Yagya the Yagyamaan is the soul, faith is the Yagymaan’s wife, Vedi is the heart, Shikhaa are the Vedas, Hotaa is ones speech, Udgata is the vital force, Ardhavyu are the 2 eyes, Brahmaa is the mind, Aagreedhra are the ears and Aahvaneeya is the mouth”.

Yagyam foundatiion helps one to get acknowledged towards the knowledge of the upanishads. One such shlok in the brihadaaranyak upanishad is described as below.

Brihadaranyaka Upanishad

“भाषण यज्ञ का केंद्र है, आँखें अर्धविद्या है, महत्वपूर्ण बल उद्गाता है और मन ब्रह्मा है।”

“Speech is the centre of the yagya, the eyes are the semiotic, the vital force is Udgata and the mind is Brahma.”

Significance

The yagya karta himself becomes the almighty when he/she performs the spiritual worship of Agnihotra /havan/yagya with whole of their heart and physical state. As when this spiritual ritual is performed the wood becomes the part of the immense fire, which directly relates to the lord Agni. As we all know that God is everywhere and he can watch our every good and bad deeds and karma. God is also present at the places where we can even not think of his presence, but he is the almighty he can be present everywhere and anywhere he wants to be. He is also present at the places where criminals are prisoned i.e. the jail or the police station. Hence, the main motive of this is to convey the omnipresent presence of the god. Furthermore, when the one doing the karma either good or bad will obviously realize the presence of the lord and will stop doing the karma which will curse him then or later. Hence, the divine Yagya is supreme, through which we imbibe cosmic awareness in our whole being by gazing at Yagya Karta /Almighty God as all-pervasive.
